The governors of the school provide strategic leadership and accountability and make an important contribution to the school’s wellbeing and effectiveness.

There are two subcommittees of the governing body: the Teaching and Learning (T&L) Committee and the Personnel, Finance and Premises (PFP) Committee.

As the governing body, we have three core functions:

• ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
• holding the Headteachers to account for the educational performance of the school, its pupils and the performance management of the staff;
• overseeing the financial performance of the school and ensuring that the budget is spent effectively.
